I've found small mentions of "burst posting" and "post bursting" in sig campaign rules. I don't quite understand what it is.
From a google search of the forum, it sounds like it's when you post a lot in a short interval of time.
I find that problematic because it has no bearing on quality or meaningfulness... just that if you "post a lot too soon it's bad." <--?
I'm not sure why OP was banned. I looked thorugh his post history and they're not one- or two- liners. They're actually small paragraphs...
He must've done something serious, like plagiarism.
But if it's burst posting, then I need to ask what the standard is. You have people posting 10 posts per day, but for some reason that's not burst posting as long as they're consistently posting 10 posts per day...
I think this is ridiculous. Because then people will be paranoid about how many posts they're making per day.
Some days we all feel like posting more because we spend more time on the forum. Other days we're busy and post maybe 1 - 5 posts.
Check the timings on his posts he just jumps on and posts at 11pm roughly forum time and hits a few threads and that's it. There is no real quality to the posts as most are in ICO threads so in short they provide little value. Well that's my take on it
I know it might be some kind of way for him to be lazy, but at the same time, consider that people may have busy lives and have 1 hr allotted to forums. Although I doubt that's his case, it's kind of Nazi to ban an account because they only spend 1 hour at the same time everyday.
Besides, he doesn't really post a lot, on March 4, 5, he logs in at roughly 11 pm, but he posts 2-3 posts, the most he posts is like 5 - 7... and they're all in ANN, but still... it's not like he's saying something generic... he's interacting with the thread and speaking about some specifics with the coin. They're not ultra helpful, but they're not really spam either.
I'd really like to know the real reason this dude was banned. He has like 400 posts and wasn't really obviously spamming. Not really sure about plagiariasm, maybe he did that.
