Most likely not this year.

I would say either next year, or 2020. That's when the markets usually rebound from a dump.

For alts to start to climb, bitcoin needs to start climbing. Once bitcoin starts to climb, then alts will follow and even outpace the growth of bitcoin. I just don't see this happening this year with the new regulations and bans and all that negative stuff being covered in the media about bitcoin, even though nothing has really changed. This is why I think it'll take around 1-2 years for markets to completely recover and go into bullish mode here.
