Back to the point. Yeah, that's what I've done with my rig that has the same issue with OP's rig.
One other method that I know is copying a driver file to one different driver version but seems isn't working well for me.

but anyway i sold all my rx polaris gpus and switched complete to vega...so my problem is obsoleteglad to hear that.
