I've used Crypto-Bridge recently, and that's part of the general BitShares based decentralized trading network. It is clunky and difficult to use. So yeah, not ready for the prime time. It's definitely good for DMD to be on these decentralized exchanges now. Just know that they are currently a turnoff to many people who just want to be able to conduct their cryptobusiness in a simple and streamlined fashion.
I have tried using Crypto Bridge too. As my own experience, this exchange is hard to use (as you said), and transaction fees are too higher (much more higher than other exchanges). Nevertheless, decentralized exchanges might be new hot trend this year or several coming years. Decentralizing is key point in crypto ecosystem, hence exchanges should and will not be exceptions.
It might be better if Diamond project will have its own decentralised exchange.
i see DEX (decentral exchanges) to fill the niche for people who for some reason dont want or cant go through an verify user process
which will become more and more required on classic exchanges
and such users will even accept the a bit more difficult way to operate such DEX
and DEX can be used as a free escrow service for outside of exchange trades
so be listed at at least one such DEX platform have added value
the big crowd that did already verify with exchanges will stick with the exchanges we have now
Agreed. We definitely want DMD to have a presence on the top decentralized exchanges. As you say, there are people who either prefer or feel forced to use them, and we wouldn't want to deprive them of a good DMD market. I will use them when I have to. Recently I wanted to buy a position in SMART Cash, and Crypto-Bridge was the only viable option, so I went with it. It was a royal pain, but I got the coins I wanted. And the team that develops a *user-friendly* DEX will be sitting pretty. So, go for it!
