I do not see the difference as creating these graphs and tables require a lot of efforts as you know, and it seems to me that posting them pretending as if he created them is nothing but plagiarism.
I don't see him pretending he's the creator. The references he uses aren't "forum-style quotes", but clear enough to make it clear someone else created it.
The main reason why I would prefer a quote for on-forum usage, is standardization: it makes it easier to quickly see it's a quote than looking for a "quelle".
After a more thorough look, I would for sure not call this plagiarism.
Next time I re-post content, I'll use the quote-function, so that everybody is happy.
I think this is good to do in general. And when quoting, try to make them as small as possible without removing context. If it's just an image you're quoting to show it on a local board, I'd say removing all English text and only showing the image is just fine.
And for future reference: If someone has a problem with me or the things I did, please talk to me.
I can only speak for myself, but in general I don't talk to the accounts I'm reporting. If I report them in this thread, they deserve a ban, and I don't expect talking to them to change anything.
I do sometimes PM people about posts (for example when they accidentally link to a phishing site instead of bitcointalk.org). In your case, I think you can make peace with sncc if you just quote images. I've seen both of you around for a while, both post enough quality to earn a nice amount of Merit, and I don't think this
difference of interpretation should make you guys mortal enemies.
