Many famous people see the future of bitcoin as replaceable and many do not. However, right now I cannot see any user friendly, trade volume and neat market potential currency like bitcoin in near future.
I do tend to agree with his general point, that bitcoin could become redundant especially if it does not pay attention to fulfilling that privacy role. However, it is also important to consider that it would be fairly easy to implement some kind of second layer solution that ads privacy.
