We shouldn't recommend coinmarketcap.com to anyone. They are still advertising ponzis on their site. They should know better! No respect for us or newbies at all. Right now I find this garbage site in banner at top:
https://profitablemorrows.com/As far as I am concerned they use Google Ads for advertisement, so, if you want to blame someone, blame Google Ads. I don't think coinmarketcap wastes it's time verifing all the ads that display on their website.
You right I haven't paid much attention to their ads because when I visit this site its for specific data only.
Op trying using an adblocker if you still trying to avoid these ponzi projects but still want to use coinmarketcap, hope it helps
