Historical note: That thread saw my first direct involvement with immediate controversy on the Bitcoin Forum, although it wasnt really an interesting fight due to the abject stupidity of Btrash pushers; e.g.:

(But it is amusing that this should be brought up again today, shortly after I became involved in a discussion about how an open, honest form of ASICBOOST is coming to Bitcoin.)
