there is a block explorer at
https://explorer.bitcoinatom.io, I don't think you can be looking at the address balance yet, but I understand devs should be replacing this explorer with their official one once it's synced. There you will be able to see your balance.
Yes, the official one will be available by end of next week or might be sooner than that. Right now, you can only check the status of a transaction in the above block explorer.
bitcoin atom needs to gain more traction by launching its core features because it's really interesting project yet the community is still quite small given its potential. Hope after atomic swaps toolkit the community will grow
