Multicurrency could be a good feature for already running on-line stores.
But as far as I understand it's difficult for running ICOs and none project uses it during ICO (at least I haven't seen such proj).
You are quite right. Every project tries to develop and promote its own coin/token.
Multicurrency may be in some ways convenient for customers but it's very difficult to manage such a project.
