Yes, there are huge changes and developments in the works that are set to release VERY soon. As part of the larger multi-part plan for this project, a closely-affiliated and complementary masternode coin is under development to be released VERY soon. Initially, it will be available via a "Swap and Burn"
The details are still being worked out, given the volatility in the marketplace, but here's a TENTATIVE summary:
You may -optionally- swap your XGOX for the new affiliated coin (name TBD).
Any XGOX swapped will be burned.
The swap-rate is still TBD, but they have estimated it will be 1400 XGOX per one "NewCoin"
The amount of "NewCoin" to run a masternode is still TBD as well. But is estimated at 2600 "NewCoin" per masternode. The amount required will be determined based on the value of Bitcoin when this is out of testing and finalized for distribution.
The "NewCoin" will be more for storage and transfer purposes, as well as back-channel integration and development in the gaming industry. XGOX will remain the token to be actually used on gaming platforms for betting, etc.
Keep in mind, this is all still in the works so don't read too much into the specific numbers above. The development team will likely continue to tweak as the work is finalized, and will also be sensitive to the current status of the market as well.
