The actual sad part of tale is that a lot more started dropping interest in Byteball after seeing things that are happening, at this time this individuals are getting in need of selling their own Gbytes.

A sad part is that after a year beyond release byteball is still slow and centralized. But thanks to  tonych for $1000 worth of free tokens. This is not sad, I dump them with respect and best wishes Smiley

This is sad to see this original project struggling so hard. There are many investors dumping Byteball after Tony canceled airdrop. From what I see this airdrop attracted few big investors and now they are selling because they were only counting on money from airdrop and not wanted to support the project and hold for a long time. This shows that Tony decision was not bad at all I think. The main reason for airdrops is to attract new users and this could not be achieved. There are not much Byteballs left and Tony has to come up with a good strategy on how to distribute them. Still when I see Byteball price and actual community reactions I fill sad that such a great and innovative project had such a bad time.

To be honest I'm not concerned about this project atm. Yes it is struggling to moon, but mooning hasn't been core team's goal as of yet. Development is highly encouraging and a good foundation is being laid to ensure that this project has a fighting chance not only at surviving, but on boarding real users and use cases. I do agree that Tony should have signaled that the airdrop was being cancelled louder and sooner. But the arguments that support cancelling the airdrop IMO are much more compelling than the pro airdrop arguments I've seen.

But perception counts for a lot... if the GBYTE doesn't make new USD highs by the end of the next alt season or if governance or witnesses aren't distributed within a year then I'll get concerned.
