A game like this already exists, except it doesn't work with crypto.
It's Entropia Universe. Some players earned millions through the game.
You can kill mobs and win some money if you're lucky. Years ago when I tried it out, my "guild" leader crafted an item and got 10k.  

Otherwise there is Dragon's Tale but this is more of a gambling game.
