The problem is that they aren't doing what is right despite of knowing what is right from wrong. Distinguishing both of these aren't enough, you need to build up that principle, the attitude for it to take these into actions.

The other thing is that there are some people who don't know how to listen and thinks that they don't need to since they somewhat know it all which is quiet lame.
