The biggest issue people always bring up is that it is very difficult to use it to buy real, tangible products. Does anyone have any ideas of how to do this with limited fees and restrictions on the consumer? And are there any ICOs that are trying to solve this problem?

Let me help you understand the issue and solution for the same. The thing is we are making the issue about bitcoin in very very broad sense and not using it with the available facilities that we have. I mean we are not bound to use the bitcoin in the online mode only or it is not restricted for us to use it in the off-line mode and that too in other forms. What I mean by this? We can always use this currency by converting into fiat and then using the fiat in real life world. I mean this is always great way of spending the money as the end result is achieved by one way or another. Bitcoin is one form of currency and if you cant use it in that form then just convert it to fiat and use it that way.

Oh yes there are many ICO's who came with the idea of bitcoin debit card to spend the bitcoins from blockchain to real life. Some of them are bitpay, TenX, Bitlord etc.
