You have a point though!! airdrops are very good ways of spreading the news of ICOs and enhancing mass adoption f a new coin. I think if they do it after the ICO it'll be cool
That's at least the desired outcome to enhance mass adoption. Given the sheer amount of airdrops these days I think that many who receive them decide to dump them pretty fast for quick profits. Still it's a decent tool to expand the community I guess.
But is it better to accumulate more tokens in the pair of hands? Thus the price could be dumped much more IMO!
Doesn't really depend on how many people hold the token. If you create incentive to hold onto them by building great technology that's the best way to go. With an airdrop you bring in many people who are not really investing the time to understand the development work. Investors usually take the time to get familiar with what they invest their money in.
True for that. Thats why we are very much doubting airdrop way of getting attention, cause in the end it is only about people wanting to get quick tokens, not people interested in the project and supporting the idea.
If you see that the interest in the project is very low it might attract a lot of new people, of which some will turn into holders. But as has been said here, most of them will just leave this project for the next one with an airdrop.
