Big time investors like Warren Buffet, treats bear market as an OPPORTUNITY. They buy while the market is in its very low value, equipping themselves for the future.
HODL my brothers, winter is here.

these two are contradictory!
taking advantage of a bear market and seeing it as an opportunity means you either continuously short bitcoin while it is dropping or you do pull out at the start of the market (not near the end obviously) and then wait for the bottom to buy as much bitcoin as you can.
HODL means missing opportunities that this market is now offering you.

HODL is only for those who don't want to trade or at times when you can't predict the market.

But that's not the point. Either HOLD or trade. It is your choice. But panic selling is not good. Withdrawing your funds because of what your emotions are telling you is not good. You must remain calm and be unshakeable. Don't be carried away by the pundit's news about bitcoin. Smiley

But the problem is that there are a lot of newbies in the ecosystem who joined specially during the December peak. So they are all enthusiastic and saying that bitcoin will go to the moon specially when institutional investors CBoE and CME started offering bitcoin future contracts. Sadly though those who FOMO got easily burned the following months. And even if we call them not to panic, they get out cut their losses by selling because they are carried away by FUD, but who can blame them?

And yeah, as this market situation, there's only 2 choices for us, either to HODL forgot about the price and came back after six month or at the end of the year, or trade and take advantage of the wild price swing and take margin (even small) of profits. Personally, it you want no headaches you might as well bought in dip and stack more bitcoin and let it just sit in your hardware wallet for as long as you can.

the only people who get "burned" are those who have no idea what they are doing. they never invest, they never trader, instead they are gambling and a gambler is always going to be burned. it  doesn't matter if the price were rising they would have still gotten burned.

an investor knows that any investment has a risk. and when you invest in bitcoin you are taking a bigger risk an when you invest in bitcoin when price has gone up 100% in 1 months (from <$10k to ~$20k) you are obviously taking a bigger risk and there are solutions for unexpected drops such as stop loss!
