You will need merits for any rank above Jr. Member. In your case, you will 10 merit for the next rank. Read the update on the OP.

one more question. if i get 10 merit and get the second coin. will i keep the second coin if my merit score drops 5, if i happen to give 5 merit to someone else? is it recommended to accumulate merit?
