opened that twitter message and saw that there are several compensations for the attack. Sent 1.8 Eth to it in hope to get some compensation but now i think it is a scam.

Anybody any idea if its real or a scam and if it is a scam how to get the ETH back?  Undecided
Why on earth would Verge initiate a compensation program that involved people sending them Ethereum in order to get more Ethereum back? If you're not going to examine the twitter name close enough to see that it's an obvious fake, at least use a little common sense.

For these 2 reasons:
1.) It is a scam on the offical Verge page, not just on some fake profil or similar
2.) Because it fitted. The scam wrote: To compensate for the attack .... we give giveaways. As all my Baikals had for about 3 hours only Orphaned blocks it seemed legit that XVG gives some compensation out.

Of course i know better know, but it still makes me angry that there are 10s of scams tolerated on an official Verge Tweet, this should not be like that, easy as that.
