Would banks and governments actively work and implement countermeasures to undermine this process? Are the underestimating the potential of cryptocurrencies by investing in some of them?
Do you think there is a possibility of cryptocurrencies being banned in the future for the reason of being a threat to "normal" currencies?

Well, first, that depends on what you mean and how you expect it to happen. Do you mean by the whole countries in the world making use of Bitcoin? That’s impossible and can’t be. You don’t expect the world to be making use of Bitcoin while they are supposed to be making use of different currencies. And if you mean by every country using different types of cryptocurrencies? It’s still also impossible because they all don’t have the potential it takes to be a real currency. They are lacking lots of features that makes up a true currency, which is the conventional currencies we’re using now.
