BCH = bitcoin cash

BTC= Bitcoin....this forked twice, BCH was forked to save the og bitcoin chain from segwet, segwet is the second fork.
so...
BTC is og btc , slow ,expensive, 1mb
BCH is Bitcoin with 8mb ,soon to be 32mb but requires an update from the user...BCH uses og bitcoin tech and follows what Satoshi had done in the past, increased block size.
segwet,LN on og btc also requires an update from the user, but ln is not user ready yet...and could still fail.
Yes segwit does require a upgrade from the user IF they want to use it no user is forced to though it's 100% backwards compatible
BCH's planned obsolescence is just a bad idea forced on users by it's dictators

What you call a bad idea, i call saving btc from permanent change, what if segwet,ln fails...then what?...thank god we have BCH.
And segwet fork was put through without miners consent, segwet used the node exploit to lie to users saying it was a soft fork,
the reason for the lie was to keep the name and ticker, segwet coin gets called btc.
but as tek agreed above, it requires an update from the user, making it a hard fork just like BCH
LN is new and untested for a long period of time on scale, it is a long way of and very risky for users funds currently.
A hard fork means everyone has to upgrade this is not what happened if it was a HF segwit usage would be at 100% but it's not because not everyone has upgraded but this is slowly increasing as more and more upgrade
BCH is run and controlled by the miners and you will run whatever gets released there is no I don't like this upgrade I'll wait it out you either upgrade or get kicked off
