It so simple, just install QT Wallet (related to coin you are using), then setting up a coin config (am talking about Windows), since you are using Hive OS you can do something like this:

What the difference between pointing my rig to wallet and building my own pool. Which is better ?
Using a private pool, you can directly rent hashes somewhere out there (Let's says, Nicehash, MRR,...) in case you need more hashes for solo mining. But you need more cost to pay VPS or Dedicated server. (I assume your private pool built on the server). But you can also create your pool locally.
Using QT Wallet, you can only be using your local machine, except you skilled on port forwarding nor stratum proxy. You can Google it.
So,
I felt more suitable using the private pool on the server than QT Wallet. But don't forget to save
PrivKey, in case something bad happens.
