Just when I just about have all the pieces in their proper places it either randomly shuffles them around
or it times out.

I agree, an annoying puzzle and a captcha is too much for ~100 satoshi.
now many faucets going to down trend cuting the wages and bringing more time wasting stuff which mean its down is already started
