It drives me nuts when I read shitposts like "I join bitcoin because it gives a good income" or some ridiculous garbage like that. Indeed, like OP is saying, such people are getting BTC (the cryptocurrency) confused with bitcointalk (the forum). And the problem is, for a lot of people in 3rd world countries who heard about bitcointalk from friends, there is no difference between the two. Bitcointalk IS bitcoin for them, and they see this forum as a job...which is another issue entirely.

Satoshi created Bitcoin, then founded Bitcointalk to discuss it. It's really not rocket science.
For some people it looks like a rocket science. Trust me if you look around then you will find tons of posts where people are really confused about this silly common sense.
I agree that the post is not worth starting a thread but NO, it's not merit begging. Since people started labeling like that, I have never given a sh*t about merit. Clear?
