@pbenske is right. MAM is used routinely in the Forex Market. The SEC is a big proponent of MAM/PAMM account structure as the client get's to deposit the money, assign person risk tolerance, each account is parceled separately from the fund (no co-mingling), and lastly account managers do not have the ability to go in and withdrawal the money -- if they so happened to be bad actors.
