Either the price went up too much last year and is now correcting, or 2.: people don't get the value yet and we will see a strong price increase in a few months most likely is second option We will soon find out! tell me what do you think 
The price definitely goes way up too much last year. Try looking on a bitcoin chart with moving average indicators set at 50 day and 200 day range. You will see that the price of bitcoin last quarter of 2017 was way too far from the average smoother. And the bitcoin price falling is not only a direct result of news, but also it's having a healthy correction. It happens to all market, not only bitcoin. But consider that there is other factors that affects bitcoin price like whales manipulation in exchanges.
