It does seems to be possible and if this could happen then bitcoin will be at approximately one third of it's all time high price and this seems depressing that bitcoin price is falling after such high price at the end of 2017 and now the price isn't able to recover the dump started on 2018,and now day by day these kind of news are coming up. Also there are many people who fall in the trap of this kind of news and sell their coins thinking that price will fall and are proven wrong if the price starts rising again and they suffer a loss there.
