Barntech (and others),

First great news, close to the decision on the PS. Maybe we can order later today and set up the Mining Shrine.

Question - Are the 6 pin Molex common connectors on modern Power Supplies? (Do they go by a different name?) As I can't seem to find many.

Looking at PS's I am not seeing the name "6 pin Molex". (And I'm hardly seeing 6 pin connectors, but on a few)

For example:
-Only 2 of the 7 low watt (300w - 500w) "Be Quiet" models have PCIE 6 pin connectors and just 1 at that (I think that is Molex as it is the only 6 pin listed.)
-I see no 6 pin on the cooler master series (see 6+2)
-EVGA 500 - I see only the 6+2 listed
-400 Watt Super Flower Golden Green - 1 x 6 pin PCI Express power (I think this is it).
-Corsair RM 450 - No 6 pin listed
-Corsair CX 430 - No 6 pin listed (both of these Corsairs list 6+2)
-Seasonic SSR 360 - 1x 6pin PCI-Express Connector

So, if 6 pin connectors are not as common on newer power supplies, be selective with which you buy. (Excuse me if I'm wrong here, just checking and don't understand all the terminology but imagine others are in the same situation.)

Can these 6 pin connectors be had via an adapter to an (e.g. 6+2 pin?, etc.)

Thanks,
IA

edit - From what I have read, I think you can use an adapter to go from 6+2 PCI-E to 6 PCI-E. Can someone confirm that?
