Turning to the Antminer E3 -

Antminer E3 180mhs for 800watts = 1mhs per 4.44watts
RX Vega 64 43mhs for 134watts = 1mhs per 3.11watts.
RX 580 29.5mhs for 98watts = 1mhs per 3.33watts
RX 1060 24mhs for 90watts = 1mhs per 3.75watts

Antminer E3 180mhs for 800watts = 1mhs per 4.44watts - price 800$
6GPU RX 580 191MHs for 950W = 1 mhs per 5 W - price Huh 3500$

those calculations are not correct. First you calculate hashrate per GPU W  per GPU cards... its like comparing oranges and tomatoes no ?
you must calculate and compare the whole 12 card or 6 card rig to the beta Antminer E3.
where is F3 comparison ?

and my 2cents... If ethereum devs don't care for their miners, Miners should care for ethereum no more... Cry

Seriously, a lot of miners bought their RX480 4GB to RX 580 4GB versions for around $200-$210 over the last 1-2 years.

$1200-$1260 total. I can see those prices returning now, but it looks like Polaris is on its way out!

Linux listing shows RX Vega 20 replacing the RX 560's. RX Vega 25s GPU cores are all going to Intel for their laptop division.

But, no leaks on what is happening to all the RX Vega 30-50 GPU cores yet!

If, you listen to the Ethereum Core Devs Meeting #36 - then you will hear that 90% of the core developers were interested in measures to remove ASICs from the network. The Ethereum Foundation is famous for doing lots of forks - it not a big deal to any of these developers to do minor forks for GPU miners. Therefore, the majority of the core developers would do a fork and introduce more ASIC resistant aspects to the algorithm.
