The Dogecoin developers indeed have been working on the project again, and they post mostly on Reddit. For example, here is a post from yesterday talking about the Doge-Ethereum bridge:
https://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/8bc7nv/dogeethereum_sidechaining/The Trezor company unfortunately didn't want to add support for Dogecoin, but Ledger supports it, and so does KeepKey, so there is enough hardware wallet support.
While some wallets may not have lived up to their full potential, there are plenty of light software wallets that support Dogecoin. See the mobile wallet Coinomi, for example.
Doge-Ethereum bridge, is this something like atomic swap between coins, in the case atomic swap between Dogecoin and Ethereum.?
