Unfortunately, the bitcoin is more speculative currency than an outstanding technical solution of particularly high value. And unfortunately the whole crypto market is attached to the bitcoin.
It has a pioneering role. It is a top dog. But what really makes it so valuable is its enormous volatility. Especially for speculators. And they make the price.
Perhaps other cryptocurrencies will manage to break free from the influence of bitcoin.
