Everything we are proposing for ALV can be done by XRP. In fact it is only a matter of time until this happens because the other platforms have no real-time settlement.

But Ripple can not do everything at the same time and they know it: banks, central banks, international remittances, e-commerce, etc. It simply is not possible.

We have argued that merchants and consumers want promptness and simplicity in their business relations. It does not make sense having all this excitement around cryptocurrencies if a solution takes an hour or more to settle an operation. Or even ten minutes. And it also has a high cost per payment. Look at what happened to Stripe against payments with Bitcoin.

So our proposal is to develop the integrations required to use XRP Ledger real-time settlement in e-commece solutions. We are not talking about Amazon or Alibaba (we know our size), but thousands upon thousands of small traders who want to get into cryptocurrency, if they have value, are simple, fast, and integrated with the administration system it uses.

The value is given by the market. Simple and fast Bitcoin and Ethereum will never be, but the XRP Ledger is. Integrated with the system that the shopkeeper uses is what we are doing.

Issuing a token is a way to finance the project in the medium and long term. And distributing to the community of XRP holders is a way of rewarding the community, people who believe in the technology and have invested their resources in it.
