It didn't expect this to happen at all.

Depending on whether the price can reach $8k again, which I think it will, it'll probably end up being a sizable run up. Potentially even to $9k+, even.  It was indeed about time that bullish sentiments started to grow within the market, as well.

But I don't believe this is the end of the bear market. Once this rally is over, I think there will still be dumps to come. Unless $6.5k is the real bottom, which I think it is not, we will go down even more before an actual recovery takes place.
