I am reasonable new to Bitcoin and Eth etc and have set up a Poloniex account to keep all my currencies in. Now i only have about $17 worth of Bitcoin at present but i want to purchase about £30 in Bitcoin and add it to my $17 already in my Poloniex wallet. Please can someone help in how i do this using my debit card as when i try to deposit it says i need to purchase USDT and gives me the long address to deposit it too.

I think you can go to localbitcoin to buy bitcoin first because I don't know how to buy bitcoin using the credit card in the poloniex and I don't have any experiences. after you buy bitcoin in localbitcoin, you ask the seller to send the bitcoin to your bitcoin wallet address that you have in your account in poloniex. and if the amount of bitcoin arrives in your wallet, then you can buy sell the bitcoin to get USDT. it is better if you can find your friend which has the same city in your country so you can ask him/her to sell him/her bitcoin to you.

then you need to send a ticket to poloniex system support so your problem can be solved. the mistake you did is you use the wrong memo address which is a list of your stellar poloniex wallet. please remember, for the next time, when you want to send stellar, make sure that you double check the address and the memo.
