That wasn't a pump actually. It was the response to the opening of a new market in the Middle East. BTC was declared "halal" by Sharia law and a market of about 1.8 billion people opened up and started to buy.

Regarding the analyst's prediction, I would say nothing is impossible. I would expect the price to rise by the end of the year, not sure if it's going to be that high though.
I think this year is going to be with ups and downs with long bear trends, not a steady increase and a predominant bull trend like we had last year.
