Does anyone know if you can now Merge Mine again th websites says you cannot

Note 2016-07-14: The pool continues to mine bitcoins but merge mining is temporarily disabled. No alt coins are currently being mined. Due to issues with the upgrade to recent bitcoin daemons and out of date alt coin code the pool needs some code changes before it can be re-enabled. This work is currently underway.

It's been over a year and he repeatedly says that you can't.

This is unfortunate as it was one of the big draws to the pool for me, but I guess keeping it simple might be the best thing for the pool operator given limited time and resources.
