not necessary? if life hits you in most possible ways, would you still say that that's your education? if you grew up with a f*cked up parents what would your knowledge be? Institutional education such as school will exposes you to several environments that life can't give you. For example, school teaches you to follow rules that is somehow similar to constitutional laws.
Experience is the best teacher but EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION are well equipped to teach you skills that you could essentially use with your daily life.
