Probably yes,that reason why ethereum was dump too hard is being of the migration from being a POW to POS,as most of the miners doesnt want to mine ethereum anymore as the difficulty has increased,most of the miners switched to ethereum classic which is the original coin from ethereum's chain.Probably it will be more stable above $500 as you can see it is the hard support as of the moment.
