who the hell knows?

Religion is obviously a method to control the population, when the threat of jail or death wasn't enough the powers that be decided the threat of eternal damnation should keep the public from disobeying the almighty rule of whatever group of assholes are currently in power.

I get the desire to want to believe, with the world being what it is, its hard not to want to believe in a higher power, hoping that this is not it, that there is something better, that there IS a point to all of this.
I completely understand the need for faith, religion takes advantage of that and then tries to scare the shit out you to do what you're told or BURN IN HELL FOREVER.

Its the religious extremist nutcases that we have to be careful for. When religion turns to violence. When others try to force their beliefs onto you. When you start justifying your actions no matter how horrible because you are answering to a 'higher power' *cough* ex: Mike Pence ("Pence is a dangerous religious fanatic who supports Israel unconditionally because of his Christian Zionist ideology")

There is so much we don't understand, I believe there is a lot more going on in this Universe then we could even fathom but I seriously doubt we end up hanging out with our lost loved ones in the heavens with our wings and head rings.

The worst part is how religion manipulates and converts children, they fill you with so much BS, and of course at that age you completely believe every word of it.
