I don't understand why they need you to upload the ID after uploading photos, maybe I am missing something, however, I would not upload my ID to some unknown new company just like that...

Like many others of that industry which are not scam project they probably have a product and now trying to integrate it with the Blockchain so that is probably why you miss understand it. I also think that collecting information about the photographers is essentials so they will not sell other peoples work...
