Bitcoin will change a lot more than finance. It could also change how software is built and upend a bunch of today's biggest web companies and Bitcoin was designed this way to make sure that the same Bitcoin, which has no physical form, isn't spent twice by the same person.
Not bitcoin will change the world so much, but blockchain technology.
Already, it can be assumed that the introduction of public administration technology on the basis of blockchain will significantly reduce both the financial and temporary costs for the implementation of government functions or the provision of services to citizens and businesses. At the same time, it is possible to minimize risks (fraud, cyberattacks), significantly increase control over assets and ensure confidentiality.
In the short term, blockchain will allow to avoid such administrative procedures as declaring, including tax and customs, which in fact burden the business. Technology transforms certification and licensing and even allows to completely abandon them. At the same time, the trust of citizens, business and government will be high and mutual. In fact, blockchain is first and foremost a technology for ensuring trust.
