You are good if you still work in some company and get a paycheck every month because it is make your trading mental healthier then other who trade for live. Some time when you make wrong decision and the coin going dip you still can hold it then you can not lose much for cut lose. But if you are a profesional trader you will become rich by focusing on trading
I don't think you have to be jobless or need to be full time free for trading. Some people quit their job then choose to be full time here it is not bad but as long as you know that you cant have time in bitcoin or the schedule of your job is not profitable to make bitcoin as your sideline make a way but never quit with one of them but as far as i know some will always choose bitcoin than there regular job.
