For me, the safest decision will be selling your alts and wait for bitcoin to go up. It also depends on the price of the alt. Most of the time, when an alt joined a listing, the price is higher compared to what it will be 1-2 months after it was listed. It will only increase after 6 months. So if you are not planning to hold your alt for more than 6 months, I think its much better if you just sell it and wait for BTC to go up.
