At the heart of crypto currencies is decentralization (decentralizing the storage of data, banking, flow of information/IoT). Decentralization will definitely have a big impact on the world economy and businesses of the future.
And at the heart of decentralization is the ideas of liberty and freedom, the choice for the individual to be free. Yet look at 99% of the cryptocurrency projects outside of Bitcoin. Almost no one who owns these coins really have control over them. They control the coins themselves, but have no freedom with what happens with it. Centralized leaderships, centralized developers.
But IMF thinks it will change the world. So what do I know?
