I saw a claim on one thread that Ripple is now open source. I also saw a claim on the same thread that OpenWhateverTheirNameIs has reduced their XRP holdings from 50% to 25%.
I don't know whether to believe either claim.

I'm not as well-known as JoelKatz around here (mostly lurked) but perhaps you'll trust my reply re: open-sourcing of Ripple. It's true, Ripple is open-source, the source code is on github and it is publicly accessible... check out http://www.github.com/ripple/rippled for the source!
