I Live in the area and know them... If they told a few that their will be some release I would expect one to come.. Keel Calm and Mine On.

The best situation will be, they were just borrowing money from their customs, brought tons of F.P.G.A and then mine for tons of BitCoins. At the end, they will send back the money to their angry customs without any sorry.
And the worse situation will be:

people get a grip and wait for an announcement... stop with the speculations and gossip
