I bought some of these coins back in 2013 and haven't looked in the wallet since then. I thought I bought over 100,000 or so but now I only see just over 1000. Was there a fork with 100:1 ratio split since then?

and the price was 0.0008BTC that means that you have to spend 80BTC to buy that amount... it`s impossible.do you have the latest wallet ?
and yes in 2014 i think it was fork that reduce total amount....
