It all seems to me like its a exit scam gone wrong. Why the hell would anybody want to prank their investors? 
makes no sense to me, probably forgot his car keys home or something, so now hes acting like it was just a publicity stunt....he will disappear completely in few months, mark my words
They are really doubtful making noise to attract more investors in the first place. They had collected $50m then suddenly disappeared and just now they are back.
