Hi guys, I'm trying to become a digibyte "full node".
my notebook where I'm launching the "digibyte core wallet" uses as the operating system Lubuntu. is since yesterday that I'm trying to download all the blockchains, but I do not know why sometimes the program closes by just killing the process and retouching to launch it manually and it still takes us longer.
In the terminal where I throw ./digibyte-qt, when it closes, this comes out:
"terminate called without an active exception"
"Canceled (core dump created)"
some remedy

however I am following this guide:
-
https://www.digibyteguide.com/user-guides/running-a-full-digibyte-node/One thing, but what benefits are there for being a full node

is there any reward for this

can it be a valid alternative to mining

Thank you all...

A DigiByte full node is nothing more than a synchronised wallet connected to the DigiByte network via the internet. There is no reward for running one but doing so does contribute to the DigiByte network and is actively encouraged throughout the community. First installations and synchronisation of the blockchain can take a considerable amount of time to complete as the DGB blockchain is quite large, the spec of the machine you are running it on will also greatly impact this process. As I said earlier, all community members are encouraged to run a full node if they can and this is a good place to interrogate the network, wallet functions and a safe place to keep your DigiByte but you will be paid nothing for doing it.
