Its a wild leap of speculation to equate 'merge mined' to the masternodes implementation which only came years later, back then there could have been any number of directions Dash could go in.. The detailed plans you highlight could have been about almost anything, eg the X11 algorithm for mining which was the big feature then. Its an interesting theory but you'll need a lot more evidence to convince anyone.
..how about masternodes are not DASH originals? but that's another topic..Point B: merge-mining is two or more ways to mint coins...not a coin mining algorithm..
Point C: we are not talking about implementation, we are talking about the MOTIVE..(masternodes inside evan's head)
